Plant Operations (Nuclear)

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day operations of the nuclear facility and remain accountable for safe, reliable, and compliant performance.
• Be on call 24/7 and maintain clear site-level authority and decision-making.
• Oversee test campaigns with the engineering team in Austin and supervise installation of new equipment.
• Manage on-site staff, contractors, site visits, and tours for investors, the Department of Energy, Texas A&M, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in the Joint Test Group and support the transition from construction to operation.
• Prepare for and oversee Department of Energy readiness reviews and maintain regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience leading a research and development facility or small industrial plant.
• Strong understanding of industrial safety frameworks, Conduct of Operations, and operational readiness.
• Experience leading teams with clear authority and accountability in safety-critical environments.
• Sound judgment under pressure and a demonstrated commitment to conservative operational decision-making.
