Senior Staff DevOps Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Seoul, South Korea — onsite required. Physical access to lab and datacenter hardware is required. Occasional travel to Sunnyvale and Dublin, estimated at 1–2 trips per year.

What you will do

• Own and modernize the Korea site's bare-metal Jenkins controllers and physical build agents, including capacity planning, server health, reliability, and AWS overflow coordination.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines with ECUs, evaluation boards, and other physical test hardware; support provisioning, health monitoring, and reproducible test environments with QA engineers.
• Operate Pure Storage FlashArray, NFS, artifact caching, build workspaces, and multi-site replication between Korea, Sunnyvale, and Dublin.
• Lead the migration from manual infrastructure configuration to Terraform-based provisioning and Ansible-based configuration management without disrupting active builds.
• Maintain Jenkins shared libraries and Groovy release workflows while partnering with the global CI/CD team on standardization.
• Deploy monitoring and observability for servers, storage, networking equipment, and lab hardware, and manage server-room capacity, rack layouts, power, and cooling coordination.

Requirements

• 15+ years of infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE experience, including significant hands-on work with on-premises and bare-metal environments.
• Strong Linux systems administration skills, including networking, storage, process management, systemd, SSH troubleshooting, and log analysis.
• Experience with physical servers, rack management, storage arrays, NFS/SAN, datacenter operations, power, cooling, and capacity planning.
• Experience operating Jenkins at scale or an equivalent enterprise CI/CD platform, including distributed agents, shared libraries, and credential management.
• Practical experience migrating manually configured environments to Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Ansible or equivalent tools.
• Working knowledge of VLANs, DNS, VPNs, site-to-site connectivity, Python, Bash, Groovy, enterprise storage, NFS, and backup or replication strategies.

Nice to have

• Embedded systems build toolchains such as Bazel, Yocto, or CMake cross-compilation.
• VMware vSphere or KVM virtualization experience.
• Hardware-in-the-loop or automotive test infrastructure experience.
• Security scanning integration with Coverity, BlackDuck, or similar SAST/SCA tools.
• Kubernetes experience in hybrid on-premises/cloud environments and Korean language proficiency.
