Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States. Employment eligibility verification in the United States is required.

Salary: $170,000–$260,000 per year, plus potential bonuses and additional incentives.

What you will do

• Engineer, administer, automate, and sustain shared Linux-based cloud and DevOps platform services.
• Provision, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, security groups, and Elastic Load Balancing.
• Operate and support containerized workloads using Docker or Podman.
• Configure, administer, integrate, and troubleshoot CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins and GitLab.
• Develop automation scripts, configuration patterns, deployment procedures, and reusable solutions to improve reliability and repeatability.
• Integrate platform tooling with source control, artifact repositories, authentication, security, monitoring, logging, and ticketing systems.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly, or the ability to obtain CI Poly.
• 5–10+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, platform operations, cloud infrastructure, or infrastructure engineering.
• Production or mission-environment experience administering and troubleshooting Linux systems.
• Experience supporting AWS infrastructure and containerized workloads with Docker and/or Podman.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines from scratch with GitLab and/or Jenkins, plus Git-based source-control workflows.
• Ability to automate infrastructure and processes using Bash and/or Python and communicate with cross-functional stakeholders.
