Senior Software DevOps Engineer (Medical Devices)

Location: Goleta, California, United States; onsite work required.

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 per year, plus bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, document, and optimize DevOps pipelines for Linux-based medical device software.
• Support software builds using Jenkins, CMake, Yocto, on-premises infrastructure, and cloud-based environments.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines with automated unit tests, static analysis, open-source license management, and CVE tracking.
• Support software releases by maintaining branches and artifacts, preparing build documentation and software bills of materials, and transferring artifacts to manufacturing.
• Develop quality dashboards for build and application metrics and perform tool validations.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software DevOps issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience: typically 8 years with a bachelor's degree, 6 years with a master's degree, 3 years with a PhD, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Linux, CMake and/or Yocto.
• Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD deployment tools, cloud-based build infrastructure, and artifact management.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, Bash, or similar languages; C++ experience is preferred.
• Experience with Git, standard programming practices, and Scrum or other Agile methodologies.
• Ability to work onsite in Goleta, California, United States. Professional English communication skills are required.
