Senior DevSecOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: 100% remote, but candidates must reside in the continental United States. Standard business hours are aligned with the Eastern Time Zone. Occasional travel to client sites or meetings may be required.

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Design, build, deploy, and monitor AWS infrastructure and CI/CD workflows for web applications.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible, including server configuration and change tracking.
• Automate deployments, vulnerability scanning, infrastructure provisioning, code reviews, and debugging through GitLab and AI-assisted coding tools.
• Integrate AWS Bedrock and foundational AI models while maintaining data privacy, security, and compliance.
• Implement cloud security controls, secure-by-design practices, zero-trust architecture, and vulnerability management.
• Respond to incidents, troubleshoot development and production issues, resolve performance bottlenecks, and document system changes.

Requirements

• Must reside in the continental United States and be authorized to work in the United States.
• United States citizenship is required to obtain the required security clearance. An active Secret clearance is preferred, and the ability to obtain and maintain one is required.
• At least 7 years of professional DevOps experience focused on AWS Cloud and DevSecOps environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field.
• Experience with AWS EKS, EC2, or Lambda; infrastructure as code; CI/CD; Terraform; Kubernetes; CloudFormation; Ansible; Docker; and Jenkins.
• Experience with GitLab or GitHub Actions, Linux scripting, secure CI/CD practices, vulnerability scanning, monitoring, and cross-functional Agile collaboration.

Nice to have

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Experience with Nexus IQ, Checkmarx, Nagios, ELK, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Experience with AWS Kinesis, CloudWatch, Splunk, SonarQube, GitLab Duo, GitHub Copilot, or AWS Bedrock.
