Senior Backend Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design the core EAV data model and schema-as-code platform to balance flexibility with transactional integrity.
• Build a Git-style version-control and migration engine for complex schema changes in production.
• Engineer AI-assisted tooling to propose, validate, and apply customer schemas and workflow definitions.
• Scale a white-labeled data warehouse for high-volume, low-latency analytics.
• Create declarative APIs and SDKs to treat business processes as code.
• Deliver end-to-end observability and search across supply-chain and finance data.

Requirements

Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco, USA

• Expertise in building large-scale ETL pipelines using databases like Postgres, Elasticsearch, DuckDB, or Memgraph.
• Experience using cloud services to deploy reliable web applications.
• Ability to work with complex graph-based architectures.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, low-ego approach to problem-solving.
• Proven ability to take ownership of ambiguous problems and drive them through execution.
