Director, Development Operations Infrastructure Engineering (AWS)

Salary: $160,000–$170,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and govern web server infrastructure and the infrastructure technology stack for hirify.global websites in AWS.
• Establish high-availability, multi-region, geo-distributed, failover, CDN, caching, DNS, and DDoS protection strategies.
• Design virtual machine, container, network, security, routing, identity, logging, and redundancy architectures.
• Create, assess, monitor, update, and deploy infrastructure assets, CI/CD tooling, and security and compliance assets.
• Manage the infrastructure shared service supporting Web Development, QA, Security, Product, and Business teams.
• Provide Level 3 technical support, coordinate with application development, information security, vendors, and operational stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of industry experience.
• Professional experience implementing nontrivial applications in Python, TypeScript, and Bash.
• Experience with HIPAA, PCI, NIST, CIS, and OWASP compliance requirements and industry standards.
• Strong Linux system administration skills, infrastructure-as-code expertise, and server patch management experience.
• Five or more years of experience with Jenkins, GitHub, AWS, ECS, Nginx, Docker, PostgreSQL, ElastiCache, OpenSearch, Prometheus, Grafana, Tenable, Splunk, SaltStack, and Terraform.
• Five or more years of experience with system hardening regimes and techniques and identity detection and prevention tools such as Palo Alto.
