Infrastructure Engineer

Location: On-site in the New York City or San Francisco office, United States

Salary: $140,000–$260,000 annual base salary, plus equity and benefits. Compensation may vary by location.

What you will do

• Design and maintain core infrastructure across cloud environments, with AWS preferred.
• Build infrastructure-as-code workflows and automate deployments and scaling.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.
• Support disaster recovery planning and maintain highly available systems.
• Partner with product and research teams to design architectures that scale with workload demands.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement security and compliance best practices across infrastructure.

Requirements

• Strong experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
• Deep experience with Docker, Kubernetes, containers, and orchestration.
• Solid understanding of distributed architectures and high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Programming proficiency in Python and Rust, or willingness to learn Rust quickly.
• Experience with database scaling, network architecture, performance tuning, observability, monitoring, security, and compliance.
• Proven ability to ship reliable infrastructure in production environments.
