Compliance Counsel (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Provide practical compliance guidance on Spanish and European laws covering privacy, cybersecurity, employment, anti-corruption, corporate governance, and ethics.
• Support GDPR compliance, cross-border data transfers, data processing agreements, privacy impact assessments, and incident response.
• Advise on cybersecurity governance, operational resilience, incident reporting, third-party risk, and emerging European cybersecurity legislation.
• Guide Human Resources and business leaders on employment compliance, workplace investigations, employee misconduct, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and employee privacy.
• Support anti-bribery and anti-corruption programs, internal investigations, corrective actions, regulatory inquiries, and audits.
• Develop compliance policies, procedures, controls, and training while monitoring regulatory developments and coordinating with Legal, Information Security, Human Resources, Internal Audit, and business leaders.

Requirements

• Law degree and qualification to practice law in Spain.
• At least 8 years of legal experience, including a minimum of 5 years in compliance or regulatory roles.
• Experience in multiple areas such as compliance, data privacy, cybersecurity, labor and employment, anti-corruption, internal investigations, or corporate ethics.
• Strong analytical, judgment, problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken, is required.
• Ability to provide business-oriented guidance and work with cross-functional and international teams.
