TL;DR
Vehicle Integration Engineer II (Aerospace): Integrating, testing, and launching the Neutron launch vehicle with an accent on ground support tooling, flight hardware procedures, and system-level vehicle processing. Focus on designing maintenance architectures, developing processing facilities, executing integrated stage checkouts, and coordinating mechanical, electrical, and fluid-system interfaces.

Location: Wallops Island, Virginia, United States. This U.S. office role is subject to ITAR requirements; candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, asylees, or eligible to obtain the required government authorizations.

Salary: $87,000–$110,000 USD annually, plus potential stock, cash incentives, and employee stock purchase program participation.

hirify.global develops rockets, spacecraft, and critical spaceflight subsystems, including the reusable Neutron medium-lift launch vehicle.

What you will do

  • Develop concepts of operations, ground support tooling, equipment, and processes for handling Neutron components and integrated stages.
  • Write and execute procedures for integrating flight hardware and ground support equipment.
  • Support first- and second-stage vehicle integration, propellant systems, avionics, and autonomous flight termination systems.
  • Develop inspection, repair, assembly, maintenance, system-test, and vehicle-checkout procedures.
  • Design and maintain processing facilities, tools, hardware, planning documents, and nonconformance improvements.
  • Coordinate daily execution with managers, engineers, technicians, and other departments while managing multiple priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience building and testing launch-vehicle hardware and associated environments.
  • Proficiency authoring comprehensive assembly, test, and launch work instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to interface with mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States under applicable ITAR regulations is required.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with launch vehicles and subsystems such as avionics, high-pressure gas, structures, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience building and testing complex assemblies at system and subsystem levels.
  • Experience applying project management principles.
