Vehicle Integration & Test Internship (Aerospace)

Location: Full-time, on-site in Los Angeles, California, United States. The company is headquartered in El Segundo, California.

Hourly rate: $33.00. Housing stipend is available for interns relocating to the area, and a commuter benefit supports local transportation.

hirify.global develops commercial space infrastructure, including in-orbit pharmaceutical processing systems, reentry capsules, heat shields, and satellite buses.

What you will do

• Contribute to hardware or software design supporting spacecraft and payload development.
• Develop and support spacecraft and propulsion system test campaigns.
• Perform analysis for system development and verification.
• Build and test spacecraft, ground support equipment, and flight hardware upgrades.
• Develop Python-based tools, test automation, data collection systems, and utilities for hardware testing workflows.
• Support wiring, harnessing, spacecraft electrical integration, avionics testing, propulsion operations, and test documentation depending on project assignment.

Requirements

• Must be actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Available for a full-time internship during the January–May 2027 spring internship period, subject to the university schedule.
• Hands-on experience in any engineering discipline.
• Modeling or assembly CAD experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and qualify as a U.S. person for access to export-controlled technology.
• U.S. person status includes U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, or protected individual status as defined by U.S. law.

Nice to have

• Previous internship or co-op experience.
• Experience on technical project teams such as rocket clubs or Formula SAE.
• Python experience.
