Material Planner (Photonics)

What you will do

• Run MRP and convert net requirements into purchase orders and supplier releases.
• Place, track, and expedite purchase orders against prototype, pilot, and production build schedules.
• Monitor inventory, safety stock, lead times, delivery dates, and open purchase orders.
• Identify and escalate shortages, delayed shipments, excess inventory, and aging or at-risk materials.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contract manufacturers, engineering, logistics, and warehouse teams on exceptions, BOM changes, receiving, inspection, and staging.
• Maintain shortage trackers, PO trackers, delivery reports, and inventory and build-readiness metrics.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of materials planning fundamentals, including master data management, order policy, bill of materials control, planning release, and fulfillment execution.
• Proficiency with MRP and ERP systems supporting complex manufacturing and supply planning.
• Strong analytical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, mathematics, and statistics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative approach in a fast-paced environment.
