Payments Operations Analyst (Payments)

Location: San Diego, United States. Occasional domestic or international travel may be required, with flexibility for meetings across time zones.

Salary: $110,000–$130,000 annual base salary, excluding other compensation and benefits.

hirify.global’s Engagement Platform Services team builds platform services that support digital engagement across games, anime, music, film, live experiences, creators, and external partners.

What you will do

• Monitor payment performance, transaction trends, operational indicators, anomalies, processing issues, and customer friction.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports covering payment performance, onboarding status, operational risks, open issues, and follow-up actions.
• Support PSP setup, configuration, onboarding readiness, UAT, production testing, and post-launch checks for payment methods and platform changes.
• Coordinate payment issue triage across hirify.global operating companies, PSPs, product, engineering, risk, fraud, finance, and regional teams.
• Analyze payment fees, settlements, reconciliation, refunds, chargebacks, and process performance to identify reliability and cost-optimization opportunities.
• Document configuration requirements, escalation paths, repeatable processes, and operational playbooks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in payment operations or a related operational analytics role.
• Experience monitoring operational performance, identifying issues, coordinating actions, and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with UAT, production testing, incident tracking, reconciliation, payment reporting, or operational readiness.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate practical recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience collaborating across operations, product, engineering, finance, risk, fraud, customer support, or external partners.
• Proficiency using approved AI tools for analysis, pattern identification, synthesis, and documentation while applying appropriate data-sensitivity judgment.

Nice to have

• Experience in video games or digital entertainment.
• Experience with PSPs, acquirers, card schemes, payment methods, or payment orchestration platforms.
• Experience with multi-tenant, platform, marketplace, or global ecommerce environments.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI, or similar business intelligence tools.
