Manufacturing Engineer, Tooling (Aerospace)

Location: West Lafayette, Indiana, United States. Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). International travel is required.

Salary: $80,900–$101,100 per year

What you will do

• Develop and qualify tooling, including design, calculations, preparation, documentation, and verification.
• Contribute to production systems, working methods, and assembly-line solutions based on Lean principles.
• Deploy advanced tooling options while balancing production cost, function, safety, and quality.
• Ensure tooling resources are available, maintained, and calibrated for operations.
• Drive continuous improvement of tooling resources and processes.
• Collaborate with Swedish tooling resources and provide extended schedule support when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication skills and an innovative, proactive approach.
• U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or protected-individual status is required.
• Ability to travel internationally and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of tooling or aerostructures experience.
• CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar modeling skills.
