Senior Hardware Electrical Engineer (RFID)

Location: Holtsville, New York, United States; hybrid with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office

Salary: $96,800–$145,200 annual, plus a target performance-based annual cash incentive equal to 10% of base pay.

What you will do

• Design electrical systems and hardware for RFID and other products from concept through production.
• Develop and test digital and analog control systems using embedded microprocessors and microcontrollers.
• Design high-speed printed circuit boards, schematics, RF interfaces, and digital systems.
• Analyze designs, select equipment for data collection, and evaluate experimental tests and results.
• Prepare installation and maintenance documentation and procedures.
• Collaborate with users, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and complete projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in embedded system design, hardware development, and DSP/ARM-based hardware integration and testing.
• Experience designing digital and analog systems, with strong hardware and system knowledge.
• Required experience with high-speed interface schematic capture and layout, plus RF.
• Ability to use test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Experience with common digital interfaces including RS232, USB, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, and SDIO.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Programming skills in C, C++, and Python.
• Cadence knowledge, wireless communications knowledge, and experience with battery-operated systems.
• Regulatory testing, standards support, research and development, publications, or patents.
