Senior Accounting Product Manager (Alternatives)

What you will do

• Define and execute the product roadmap for alternative investment accounting products.
• Translate capital calls, distributions, unfunded commitments, NAV, waterfalls, fees, and secondary transactions into product requirements and prioritized backlogs.
• Lead end-to-end alternatives workflows, including capital account statement ingestion, commitment tracking, NAV and book value alignment, fee and carry calculations, and exposure reporting.
• Collaborate with technology, data, accounting, operations, implementation, sales, compliance, and client services teams to deliver scalable product capabilities.
• Engage clients, prospects, partners, and regulators; deliver demonstrations, presentations, and training.
• Oversee testing, UAT, product metrics, roadmap iteration, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in investment accounting or product management, focused on alternative investments.
• Deep knowledge of alternative investment accounting, capital account activity, NAV and book value, fee and carry structures, and performance measurement.
• Familiarity with US GAAP, IFRS, and/or statutory and regulatory reporting requirements for alternative assets.
• Experience managing product development cycles from concept to launch in a financial or fintech environment.
• Ability to convert complex accounting and operational requirements into product specifications and prioritized backlogs.
• Strong analytical, communication, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills; proficiency with agile, Jira, Aha, and backlog management practices.

Nice to have

• CPA, CFA, CAIA, or equivalent alternatives accounting or investment experience.
• Experience with asset owners, asset managers, fund administrators, or alternative investment service providers.
• Experience with enterprise investment accounting or portfolio management systems supporting alternative assets.
