Senior Vice President, Media Relations

Location: Remote hiring is available only to candidates residing in the listed U.S. states; hybrid work is available near the New York, NY or San Francisco, CA offices with three in-office days per week.

Salary: $175,000–$249,000 per year, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Lead earned media strategy for complex, high-profile client engagements.
• Advise C-suite executives on media positioning, executive visibility, reputation management, thought leadership, and crisis communications.
• Build relationships with business, technology, financial, and trade journalists.
• Oversee media programs for corporate announcements, product launches, funding announcements, M&A, and executive thought leadership.
• Support new business pitches, RFP responses, agency growth, and media-offering development.
• Mentor media professionals and integrate earned media with strategy, content, digital, creative, and account teams.

Requirements

• 12+ years of media relations, public relations, or communications experience.
• Deep expertise in B2B technology, professional services, and/or financial services media.
• Success leading media strategy across complex client accounts in a fast-paced agency environment.
• Extensive experience with new business pitches, RFPs, and agency presentations.
• Strong executive presence and experience counseling senior stakeholders and C-suite leaders.
• Must reside in one of the approved U.S. states at the time of hire.
