Senior Communications Manager (US)

Location: San Francisco, United States. Hybrid work with three days a week in the office.

Salary: $180,000–$210,000 base salary per annum, depending on experience.

A full-stack AI infrastructure company building a European AI cloud for training, experimenting with, and deploying AI models at scale using renewable energy.

What you will do

• Lead external communications and reputation management in the US market.
• Shape communications strategy and the external narrative across key market conversations.
• Manage media relations, executive visibility, announcements, and crisis communications.
• Build trusted relationships with journalists, external stakeholders, and senior leaders.
• Partner with Government Relations, Marketing, Operations, and Communications to maintain consistent and timely messaging.
• Monitor media coverage and industry discussions to identify opportunities and risks.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in external communications, reputation management, media relations, corporate communications, or a related field.
• Track record of building impactful communications strategies.
• Ability to navigate complex technology, political, and business topics and develop clear messaging.
• Experience working with US-market media and journalists and building trusted relationships.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent English communication and writing skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in technology, cloud, AI, SaaS, or scale-up environments.
• Experience supporting executive and leadership communications.
• Experience with media training and spokesperson preparation.
• Experience managing crisis or issues communications.
