Function Integration and Software Planning (Automotive)

Location: Novi, Michigan, United States; onsite 4–5 days per week. Regular in-person meetings, company events, and business travel are required. The role is not eligible for remote work in New York City.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

hirify.global is developing all-electric pickup trucks and rugged SUVs, including an electric powertrain and a range-extender powertrain.

What you will do

• Support powertrain and drive-system integration for electric pickup trucks and rugged SUVs.
• Review existing software functions and modules and propose improvements.
• Design drive-system integration and testing strategies with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate prototype and serial development, including software availability, development partners, test planning, and software releases.
• Collaborate with concept architects, systems architects, testing, and calibration teams on technical solutions.
• Build prototypes and coordinate hands-on software implementation and testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, technology, IT systems, or engineering technology; electrical engineering is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in automotive concept engineering or serial development, with a focus on platforms, variants, module selection, and modification.
• Experience with drive-system software and function development, integration, system engineering, and release processes.
• Advanced project steering and coordination skills, with the ability to manage projects independently within a defined drive-system scope.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional and global environment and participate in hands-on testing.
