TL;DR

Annual base salary: $106,000–$146,470, plus equity package

What you will do

  • Architect and scale integrated laser powder bed fusion processes from R&D through high-volume serial production.
  • Develop and standardize LPBF process recipes, build configurations, platform standards, and traceability systems.
  • Translate customer and market requirements into engineering specifications and lead Design for Additive Manufacturing practices.
  • Oversee First Article Inspections and critical production launches for aerospace, defense, medical, and semiconductor applications.
  • Investigate complex print defects, implement corrective and preventive actions, and use data analytics and iterative testing to improve process performance.
  • Coordinate additive workflows with automation, machining, and finishing processes while mentoring engineers and establishing production standards.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on product or applications development experience scaling LPBF or directed energy deposition processes into high-volume manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s or Ph.D. is highly preferred.
  • Expert proficiency in 3D CAD tools such as Siemens NX, Creo, or SolidWorks and build-preparation tools such as Magics, nTopology, or Amphyon.
  • Deep knowledge of GD&T, statistical process capability, tolerance stack-up analysis, and DFM/DfAM constraints.
  • Leadership and communication skills for influencing technical roadmaps, aligning multidisciplinary stakeholders, and mentoring engineers.
  • Working knowledge of 5-axis milling, turning, EDM, and integration of subtractive operations with additive manufacturing.
