TL;DR
Integration Engineer (Aerospace): Integrating propulsion, battery, avionics, and structural systems into the ES-30 hybrid-electric aircraft with an accent on mechanical and electrical interfaces, assembly processes, and certification requirements. Focus on troubleshooting build-floor integration issues, developing work instructions, and improving aircraft assembly from prototype through rate production.

Location: Onsite at the Torrance, California office; some domestic travel may be required.

Base pay: $124,000–$176,000 USD per year.

hirify.global develops the ES-30, a 30-passenger regional hybrid-electric airplane targeting type certification by the end of the decade.

What you will do

  • Lead the mechanical and electrical integration of propulsion, battery, avionics, and structural systems.
  • Define build sequences, mechanical interfaces, fastener strategies, cable routing, and fluid-line installations.
  • Support aircraft-level assembly from first article through full-rate production.
  • Provide design-for-assembly feedback and resolve subsystem interface issues with design engineering.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues on the build floor, lead root-cause investigations, and support technicians.
  • Create work instructions, assembly drawings, configuration documentation, and integration test data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in aerospace, automotive, or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fasteners, electrical connectors, harnessing, and fluid systems.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools such as NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings with GD&T.

Nice to have

  • Experience with aircraft or vehicle final assembly, especially electrical and fluid system integration.
  • Exposure to configuration control, hardware traceability, and change management.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in high-speed development programs.
  • Experience with electric propulsion, high-voltage systems, or thermal integration.
  • Comfort working hands-on with tools and hardware in a production environment.
