What you will do

  • Own the design release, build, test, and delivery of vehicle fluid, propulsion, and mechanism assemblies.
  • Improve manufacturability, assembly, testability, and integration for complex aerospace hardware.
  • Create build roadmaps, CONOPS, work instructions, standard processes, and procedures.
  • Lead first-article builds and provide hands-on support during manufacturing, integration, and testing.
  • Drive design, process, capital equipment, and make-versus-buy decisions with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain stakeholders.
  • Support pressurization, leak checks, actuator functional tests, propulsion integration, tooling, ERP/MES workflows, and continuous production improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience integrating, assembling, or manufacturing fluid, propulsion, or mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of aerospace assembly practices, precision fitting, torque control, contamination prevention, GD&T, CAD modeling, and first-principles analysis.
  • Experience or exposure to tolerance stack-up analysis, P&ID development, actuator testing, leak checks, and valve assembly or testing.
  • Ability to communicate across design, manufacturing, supply chain, and test organizations and implement new processes independently.
  • Must be eligible to access information and items subject to U.S. export controls as a U.S. person or through deemed export licensing.

Nice to have

  • Experience with new product introduction or flight hardware integration in aerospace or defense.
  • Experience authoring and executing build instructions and leading first-time build efforts.
  • Familiarity with cryogenic, pneumatic, propellant, or other hazardous and pressurized systems.
  • Experience with welded tube, valve, or manifold assemblies and TIG, MIG, or laser welding.
  • Experience in R&D or low-rate production, including vendor engagement, tooling development, and hands-on troubleshooting.

Culture & Benefits

  • Fast-paced, first-principles environment focused on rapid hardware iteration.
  • Daily hands-on work around manufacturing, testing, high-pressure systems, and industrial equipment.
  • 100% employer-paid healthcare and pet insurance.
  • Stock options, 401(k), potential year-end bonuses, paid parental leave, and paid holidays.
  • Unlimited PTO for exempt employees or accrued PTO for non-exempt employees, plus paid office lunches.
