Senior Software Engineer (Autonomous Vehicles)

Builds AI software for autonomous driving and robotics using data- and capital-efficient unsupervised learning for L2/L3 autonomy.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and test safe, scalable, robust real-time software for mass-production autonomous vehicle systems.
• Analyze, optimize, and iterate on algorithms across the autonomous vehicle stack.
• Architect continuous learning systems for deploying ML models, monitoring performance, and prioritizing improvements.
• Collaborate with platform, embedded, and AI teams on validation and integration of ML-based perception, prediction, and planning.
• Track developments in high-performance computing, real-time systems, and AI-driven mobility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Robotics; a Ph.D. is preferred.
• Strong backend programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying performant and/or real-time software systems.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, software architecture, and design patterns.
• Ability to lead projects, mentor team members, work autonomously, and collaborate effectively in high-stakes environments.

Nice to have

• Autonomous vehicle development and software/hardware integration experience.
• ROS2 or other robotics middleware experience.
• Production ML model deployment and monitoring, data pipeline management, and model versioning.
• Simulation tools such as CARLA and real-world autonomous vehicle testing protocols.
