AI Software Engineer

What you will do

• Design and ship AI-powered features for assisted requirements drafting, consistency checks, impact analysis, and intelligent suggestions.
• Build agentic workflows that help systems and domain engineers explore designs, simulate changes, and validate requirements.
• Evaluate and integrate language models, optimizing reliability, latency, cost, and debuggability in production.
• Build data pipelines, evaluation harnesses, prompt and model management, observability, and safety guardrails.
• Develop complete AI features across backend integrations, APIs, and simple UI hooks.
• Partner with product and customers to identify valuable workflows, run experiments, and iterate based on usage.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience developing, testing, and operating production software at scale in a cloud environment.
• Hands-on experience with modern LLM providers and tooling, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, vector stores, and RAG patterns.
• Experience with prompt design, retrieval-augmented systems, evaluation methods, and safety or guardrail approaches.
• Ability to assess tradeoffs between models, architectures, and deployment patterns and make pragmatic decisions.
• Proficiency with TypeScript/Node.js and Python for AI and backend services.
• Experience with Postgres and managed cloud services; comfortable working in a high-ownership, fast-paced environment.
