AI Product Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Hybrid in New York City, London, or Silicon Valley

Salary: $200K–$400K annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Build AI-native products and workflows that help semiconductor engineers design and verify chips more efficiently.
• Architect intuitive interfaces and workflows for chip engineers and the agentic systems they use.
• Partner with AI engineers, researchers, hardware engineers, and users to define requirements, system behaviors, evaluation criteria, and product features.
• Own product development end to end across frontend, backend, data, and AI systems, from prototyping through deployment, evaluation, and iteration.
• Improve product usability, reliability, performance, architectural quality, and production readiness.
• Use AI systems to accelerate implementation, testing, exploration, and analysis while maintaining ownership of verification and final quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping full-stack products, ideally in startup or zero-to-one environments.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React, with a deep understanding of modern frontend architecture and web technologies.
• Experience building backend systems in Python, Node.js, or other popular languages and contributing across the stack.
• Experience building AI-powered products, working with LLMs, or collaborating closely with ML teams.
• Strong product and engineering judgment, including the ability to identify UX regressions, edge cases, and long-term architectural costs.
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments, turn evolving product direction into concrete plans, and deliver reliably.

Nice to have

• Experience in the semiconductor industry or building software for hardware engineering workflows.
• Experience with developer tools, workflow systems, IDE extensions, or highly technical products.
• Familiarity with harness engineering, orchestration systems, or evaluation tooling.
• Experience with visual design or polished, user-centric interfaces.
• Experience as an engineering manager or owning a product end to end.
