Data Scientist (Fraud)

What you will do

• Prototype, evaluate, deploy, monitor, and retrain machine learning models for fraud detection.
• Design experiments to measure fraud intervention impact while balancing customer experience and loss reduction.
• Size fraud typologies across product lines to guide prioritization and investment decisions.
• Build and maintain anomaly detection systems for emerging fraud vectors.
• Partner with fraud operations, engineers, product managers, and data analysts to turn model outputs into production mitigations.

Requirements

• Degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or a related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of experience in data science, decision science, or risk analytics, preferably in fraud, payments, or financial crime.
• Experience building and deploying machine learning models in production.
• Strong knowledge of experimentation, statistical inference, model evaluation, and feature engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL across the full model development lifecycle.
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly and translate insights into action.

• Experience in fraud, risk, or financial services.
