Data Scientist (Fintech)

Location: Milan, Italy (Flexible Smart Working / Hybrid)

Salary: Annual base salary starting from €37,000

What you will do

• Extract actionable insights from large datasets to support stakeholder decisions.
• Own the entire model lifecycle, from exploratory analysis to final implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-country teams to design experiments.
• Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support the deployment of predictive models into production.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work in Milan, Italy.
• 2+ years of professional experience in data science or analytics.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL (preferably SAS).
• Experience with machine learning libraries including scikit-learn, pandas, numpy, and matplotlib.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Active portfolio of data science projects on GitHub or Azure.
• Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Git workflows.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Previous experience in the financial services or banking sector.
