What you will do
- Build and develop the credit risk model for the Spanish market from initial development through ongoing iteration and performance monitoring.
- Evaluate, select, and integrate local bureau, Open Banking, and alternative data providers for credit decisioning.
- Design dashboards, metrics, and analytics infrastructure for portfolio performance, risk, and affordability reporting.
- Adapt the Render platform to the Spanish market in collaboration with the London-based data science team.
- Translate data insights into product strategy and growth initiatives with product, finance, collections, underwriting, and credit risk stakeholders.
- Track developments in AI, machine learning, and fintech to support innovation.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a data science role.
- Strong Python and SQL skills with experience working directly with large datasets.
- Strong background in statistical modelling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish are required for cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to explain complex data insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Credit risk or finance experience.
- Experience with AWS.
