Location: Wallops Island, Virginia, United States; onsite work supporting Neutron vehicle integration, testing, and launch.

Salary: $115,000–$172,100 USD base pay per year.

hirify.global is an aerospace company building rockets, spacecraft, and critical spaceflight subsystems, including the reusable Neutron launch vehicle.

What you will do

  • Develop concepts of operations, ground support tooling, handling processes, and equipment for Neutron vehicle components and integrated stages.
  • Develop and execute procedures for integrating flight hardware and ground support equipment.
  • Support first- and second-stage integration, propellant systems, avionics, and autonomous flight termination systems.
  • Create inspection, repair, assembly, system test, maintenance architecture, and vehicle checkout procedures.
  • Design and maintain processing tools, hardware, facilities, configuration plans, and documentation for vehicle testing and launch.
  • Coordinate daily execution with management, multidisciplinary engineering teams, and skilled technicians while tracking multiple priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience building and testing hardware associated with launch vehicles and their operating environments.
  • Proficiency authoring comprehensive work instructions and procedures for assembly, testing, and launch.
  • Ability to work across mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems.
  • For U.S. office roles, candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, asylees, or eligible to obtain required export-control authorizations under ITAR.
  • The role may involve prolonged sitting, standing, walking, computer work, and occasional exposure to moderate noise, dust, and fumes in production areas.

Nice to have

  • Master of Science degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with launch vehicle hardware and subsystems such as avionics, high-pressure gas, structures, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience building and testing complex assemblies at system and subsystem levels.
  • Experience applying project management principles.
