What you will do

• Analyze complex design problems and develop practical mechanical solutions that satisfy technical requirements and constraints.
• Create detailed layouts, models, and assemblies using Creo Parametric, including model-based definition practices where applicable.
• Develop design documentation, engineering reports, schedules, cost estimates, procedures, and configuration-controlled records.
• Support material selection, fabrication, assembly, testing, and manufacturing activities for advanced mechanical hardware.
• Prepare and present technical materials for design reviews, engineering leadership, and project stakeholders.
• Mentor designers and contribute to workforce planning, task prioritization, work assignments, and engineering change processes.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Design Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Significant applied experience with Creo Parametric and Windchill or equivalent CAD/PLM systems.
• Advanced knowledge of CAD/PLM systems, configuration management, drafting standards, and ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
• Experience with hardware design, fabrication, assembly techniques, materials selection, testing, and manufacturing methods.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, sketches, and procedures.
• Strong independent execution, attention to detail, and written and verbal technical communication skills.

Nice to have

• Technical or project leadership experience.
• Experience with staffing plans, safety notes, mentoring, or performance development.
• Familiarity with project management methods and tools.
• Experience using CAD-supported Finite Element Analysis for design decisions.
