Physical Security Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Houston, New York, San Francisco, or Seattle, United States

Salary: $150,000–$175,000 USD base salary per year, plus potential bonus, equity, and/or commission.

What you will do

• Review architectural, engineering, consultant, shop drawing, and equipment-submittal designs for compliance with physical security standards.
• Act as the regional technical authority and approve physical security design changes.
• Coordinate with data center infrastructure teams, architects, consultants, system integrators, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Support construction engineering, installation quality inspections, milestone walkthroughs, and technical issue resolution.
• Support electronic security commissioning, operational readiness, transition to operations, and customer acceptance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience leading complex physical security, critical infrastructure, construction, or technology deployment programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, information technology, criminal justice, security management, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience delivering physical security systems for hyperscale data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing cross-functional programs spanning design, construction, networking, operations, procurement, and customer stakeholders.
• Knowledge of access control, video surveillance, security networking, structured cabling, low-voltage systems, security design standards, electronic security commissioning, and system integration.
• Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals for operational technology.

Nice to have

• Genetec experience.
• ASIS PSP, CPP, Genetec Security Center, PMP, equivalent technical program management certification, or BICSI RCDD certification.
