Test Engineer (Electrical)

Salary: $80,000–$170,000 annually

What you will do

• Develop and maintain custom test solutions for in-house electronics and electro-mechanical hardware.
• Select commercial off-the-shelf hardware and design PCBAs to power units, measure signals, and apply operating loads.
• Write Python automation software for test articles, equipment, instrumentation, and production documentation systems.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Investigate test anomalies, identify root causes, and support mitigations.
• Design test campaigns covering lifetime, performance, and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline emphasizing electrical engineering and electronics.
• At least 1 year of experience in electronic hardware development or software development.
• At least 1 year of programming experience with Python or Embedded C/C++.
• Evidence of exceptional ability through prior projects, a portfolio, or completed products.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.

Nice to have

• Experience analyzing circuits and developing functional test plans.
• Experience designing and troubleshooting PCBAs.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, and DAQs.
• Experience with HALT, vibration, shock, thermal, and EMI/EMC testing.
