Technical Recruiter

Location: New York, NY, United States; hybrid

Salary: $125,000–$175,000 per year, plus equity and bonus.

What you will do

• Own full-cycle recruiting for software engineering roles across all levels, from sourcing and screening through coordination and closing.
• Partner with engineering managers and founders to define technical requirements, team culture, and hiring standards.
• Build qualified engineering candidate pipelines through outbound sourcing, referrals, and community engagement.
• Design tailored outreach and manage a structured interview process with consistent evaluation criteria.
• Manage and negotiate offers using current compensation benchmarks.
• Track recruiting metrics and improve sourcing funnels, tooling, processes, and employer branding.

Requirements

• 5+ years of recruiting experience, including at least 5 years in-house at a technology company.
• Experience recruiting software engineers across backend, frontend, fullstack, infrastructure, and ML/AI disciplines.
• Experience working at Seed through Series B startups in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
• Strong technical literacy and the ability to discuss engineering roles and evaluate technical backgrounds.
• Demonstrated success filling hard-to-hire senior engineering roles through proactive sourcing.
• Experience working autonomously with modern ATS and sourcing tools such as Greenhouse, Lever, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
