Focus on managing complex schedules, resources, risks, budgets, design reviews, and supplier coordination across international time zones.

Location: Waltham, Massachusetts, United States. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. Weekly evening availability is required for coordination with South Korean vendors.

Salary: $178,000–$215,000 base pay per year.

What you will do

  • Coordinate the development lifecycle of robotics actuators from early design through mass production.
  • Build and track project schedules, scopes, deliverables, resources, budgets, and critical paths.
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, firmware, controls, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations stakeholders.
  • Identify delivery risks, remove bottlenecks, and implement contingency plans.
  • Lead design reviews and ensure engineering deliverables support the transition from development to manufacturing.
  • Coordinate supplier delivery, documentation, change control, component versioning, and weekly meetings with South Korean vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of combined engineering and project management experience.
  • 7+ years of engineering design experience and 5+ years managing projects for complex shipping products.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, preferably actuators, controls, assembly, and testing processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with waterfall project management tools such as Smartsheet or Microsoft Project.
