Location: On-site in Redwood City, California, United States. ITAR eligibility is required: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required U.S. authorizations.
Salary: $150,000–$170,000 per year, plus competitive pay, equity, and flexibility between salary and equity-based compensation.

What you will do
- Develop RF electronic subsystems from architecture and design through manufacturing.
- Design receive and transmit chains, switching networks, filters, protection circuitry, and bias and control systems.
- Define RF subsystems and conduct design trade studies involving noise figure, linearity, output power, stability, spurious performance, and power consumption.
- Lead prototyping, hardware bring-up, debugging, characterization, and RF test campaigns.
- Collaborate with RF systems, antenna, mixed-signal, mechanical, firmware, and test engineers.
- Provide technical leadership through design reviews, risk-reduction planning, and mentorship.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field and 4–7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in electronics design, hardware bring-up, and testing.
- Strong knowledge of electromagnetic theory and RF fundamentals, including S-parameters, transmission lines, stability analysis, and impedance matching.
- Hands-on experience designing RF hardware such as LNAs, power amplifiers, mixers, switches, filters, couplers, and protection circuitry.
- Experience with RF modeling, simulation, schematic capture, RF test equipment, EMC requirements, and EMI mitigation.
- Strong teamwork, communication, self-direction, and accountability in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in electrical engineering, applied physics, or a related field.
- Experience with PLLs, VCOs, frequency references, low-jitter clock distribution, and timing-critical RF subsystems.
- Experience with ADS, Microwave Office, HFSS, Altium Designer, Allegro, or OrCAD.
- Experience taking RF hardware through qualification and environmental testing with manufacturing and test partners.
