What you will do

  • Design, implement, and maintain high-performance route and motion planning modules in modern C++ for real-time autonomous driving.
  • Profile and optimize algorithms for runtime efficiency, memory usage, and latency.
  • Integrate planning modules with perception, prediction, localization, and control systems.
  • Simulate and validate planning algorithms on autonomous platforms and in real-world environments.
  • Debug multi-module systems, analyze logs and telemetry, and support deployment.
  • Collaborate with engineers and researchers, share system design practices, and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong C++ proficiency and knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and real-time software design.
  • Experience with graph search, sampling-based planning, optimization-based methods, FSMs, and behavior trees.
  • Experience optimizing software for real-time performance and resource constraints.
  • Hands-on experience developing large-scale robotic or autonomous systems.
  • Proficiency with Linux, ROS or ROS2, Git, CMake or Bazel, and CI/CD pipelines, plus experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers.
