Base pay range: $163,600–$324,500 USD per year, with annual bonus eligibility and benefits.

What you will do

• Conduct state-of-the-art robotics research in task-and-motion planning, vision-language-action models, 3D perception, dexterous manipulation, whole-body control, and multimodal data fusion.
• Explore techniques, device interfaces, and model architectures for training robotic policies with limited data.
• Design autonomy architectures that translate high-level task instructions into low-level robot commands.
• Develop real-time video encoders, VLM-based reasoning systems, 3D scene graphs, and semantic or geometric models.
• Scale robot evaluation pipelines across fleets using simulation and real-world testing.
• Collaborate across teams and contribute to patents and top-tier scientific publications.

Requirements

• PhD in EECS, robotics, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
• 2–14+ years of robotics experience and a strong publication record in leading robotics, computer vision, or machine learning venues.
• Strong knowledge of robotics fundamentals, including manipulation, sensor inputs, pose tracking, 3D mapping, SLAM, ROS, and policy architectures.
• Experience with foundation models, VLA models, VLMs, agentic architectures, computer vision, real-time video tokenization, and multi-view image processing.
• Familiarity with model performance and data quality monitoring, model tuning, PyTorch, TensorFlow, C, C++, Java, ROS, and CUDA.
• Excellent problem-solving, independent work, collaboration, verbal communication, and technical writing skills.
