Software Engineer (P3) – Control Path & Quality, Data Ocean

Location: On-site at the Pune office, India

What you will do

• Develop and maintain control plane services for Data Ocean platform management and orchestration.
• Design management APIs, service interfaces, and workflows for caching, data movement, configuration, and platform lifecycle operations.
• Build monitoring, telemetry, and operational capabilities to improve system visibility and reliability.
• Develop automated frameworks for functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing.
• Validate features across distributed storage environments, troubleshoot platform issues, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, QA, and DevOps teams on design reviews, code reviews, test strategy, release readiness, and CI/CD improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience developing software applications, infrastructure software, or distributed systems.
• Strong programming skills in C++, Go, or Java, along with Linux-based software development experience.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and building automation frameworks or software validation tools.
• Understanding of storage systems, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure concepts.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and container-based environments.
• Python-based automation and testing framework experience.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud technologies, and infrastructure platforms.
• Knowledge of enterprise storage systems or distributed data platforms.
• Experience with performance testing, system validation, or large-scale software testing.
