Maintenance Carpenter

Location: Penrose, Colorado, United States; onsite work at hirify.global Technologies facilities and other facility sites as required

Salary: $27–$35 per hour

What you will do

• Construct, install, and repair structural and finish carpentry, including walls, ceilings, floors, doors, frames, moldings, cabinets, and shelving.
• Build partitions, furring strips, stud framing, drop ceilings, and rough carpentry elements for new construction and renovation projects.
• Fabricate custom woodwork and fixtures using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
• Inspect and maintain doors, windows, hardware, structural elements, drywall, tile, flooring, trim, and other interior finishes.
• Respond to work orders, document materials and completed work, and coordinate with subcontractors, engineers, and project managers.
• Maintain compliance with building codes, fire egress requirements, OSHA standards, and facility safety requirements.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of journeyman-level carpentry or construction maintenance experience.
• Experience with both rough and finish carpentry, including framing, drywall, millwork, and cabinetry.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, construction drawings, and work order specifications.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between facility sites.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work on ladders and scaffolds, and perform physically demanding tasks. A background check and drug screening are required; some assignments may require a government security clearance.

Nice to have

• Journeyman Carpenter certification or an equivalent trade credential.
• Facilities maintenance experience in government, defense, or commercial properties.
• Familiarity with ADA compliance and accessibility modifications.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, or HVAC support work.
• Experience with CMMS or work order platforms.
