TL;DR
CNC Operator (Aerospace): Setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components for aerospace production with an accent on blueprint specifications, tooling, offsets, and dimensional inspection. Focus on maintaining tight tolerances, adjusting machining cycles, identifying equipment issues, and supporting the transition to an automation-capable facility.
Location: Onsite in Penrose, Colorado, with a transition to Pueblo, Colorado

What you will do
- Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes using established programs, work orders, and setup sheets.
- Load raw materials, select tooling, and adjust offsets within approved program parameters.
- Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments.
- Monitor machining cycles and make minor adjustments to maintain quality, tolerances, and cycle time.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, maintain a safe work area, and report tooling wear or machine malfunctions.
- Maintain production and inspection records while supporting the transition to a new aerospace-capable facility.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of CNC operating experience, or completion of a machining or vocational training program.
- Working knowledge of blueprint reading, work orders, and basic G-code.
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and precision gauges.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Eligible to pass an FBI/DoD background check and obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Must meet U.S. Government ITAR requirements as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or person eligible to obtain the required authorizations.
Nice to have
- Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
- Familiarity with CNC setup, tooling, or CAD/CAM software.
