Payroll & People Specialist

Location: Stockholm, Sweden; full-time on-site role

What you will do

• Own end-to-end payroll across multiple European entities, including Sweden, and coordinate with local payroll providers.
• Review, reconcile, and quality-check payroll inputs and outputs, including reporting, statutory filings, pension administration, year-end processes, and audits.
• Partner with Finance, People, and external providers to maintain accurate payroll data, approvals, reconciliations, and compliance.
• Manage employee lifecycle operations including onboarding, contracts, amendments, employment changes, benefits, and offboarding.
• Run and maintain the Employer of Record platform and manage relationships with payroll, benefits, pension, and EOR providers.
• Improve payroll and People Operations processes by replacing manual workarounds with structured, scalable systems and automation.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in People Operations or payroll, including meaningful hands-on payroll responsibility.
• Experience running payroll in at least one market outside the Nordics, such as the UK, Germany, or France.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, statutory requirements, reporting, and reconciliations.
• Confidence working with payroll systems, HR systems, and EOR platforms.
• High ownership, independence, attention to detail, and ability to work across Finance, People, and external providers.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Stockholm and submit a CV in English.

Nice to have

• Experience managing payroll across several European markets or in a scaling company with multiple entities.
• Experience improving or implementing payroll, HRIS, or EOR processes.
• Familiarity with Swedish payroll and pension administration.
