Senior Electrical Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Singapore; regular travel to client sites is required.

What you will do

• Inspect and reverse-engineer client vehicles, including communication systems, sensors, and actuators.
• Design complete electrical architectures and detailed wire harnesses for drive-by-wire vehicle conversions.
• Create production-ready schematics, bills of materials, and version-controlled documentation in RapidHarness.
• Design CAN communication architectures and electronics for safety-critical, harsh vehicle environments.
• Bench-test, stress-test, validate, and troubleshoot systems before and after production.
• Maintain, update, and occasionally design interface PCBs using KiCad.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a similar field, with senior-level experience in automotive, heavy machinery, robotics, or related fields.
• Strong PCB design experience and proficiency in KiCad, plus proficiency in RapidHarness or a close equivalent.
• Hands-on experience designing wire harnesses, including components, connectors, pins, and wires.
• Knowledge of microcontrollers, relays, voltage regulation, signal conditioning, mixed analog and digital I/O, and CAN communication.
• Experience with signal integrity in electrically noisy environments and with manufacturing-ready documentation, BOMs, and version history.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and work hands-on with vehicles.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Linux, command-line tools, Bash, or Python.
• Proficiency in Mandarin for technical discussions with Chinese vendors and contract manufacturers.
