VP, Strategic Finance

Location: Torrance, California, United States. Relocation support is available for candidates outside the Los Angeles area. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. The role is subject to ITAR requirements, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylum status, or eligibility to obtain required government authorizations. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $180,000–$250,000 per year, plus potential equity.

What you will do

• Lead equity financing strategy and execution for future rounds with the Founder & CEO.
• Build and manage investor maps across venture capital firms, strategic investors, family offices, and other capital partners.
• Own the equity story, pitch narrative, financial models, investor updates, data room materials, diligence responses, and board-level financing materials.
• Translate technical progress, space robotics development, commercial traction, government opportunities, and market potential into a clear investment narrative.
• Prepare the Founder & CEO for investor meetings, manage follow-ups, and support selected investor-facing communications.
• Build company-level financial planning and help develop the finance function, reporting cadence, capital allocation, strategic partnerships, and corporate development processes.

Requirements

• Direct experience raising equity capital inside a venture-backed startup through Series B or earlier.
• Experience supporting or leading multiple early-stage financing rounds from the company side.
• Understanding of investor targeting, warm introductions, financing materials, meetings, diligence, data rooms, negotiations, and closing.
• A current investor network capable of opening relevant doors immediately.
• Experience operating close to a founder or CEO in an early-stage startup, with strong ownership, judgment, discretion, and speed.
• Ability to understand complex robotics, space, defense, and hardware topics and convert them into an investor narrative.
