VP Finance

Location: On-site in San Francisco, California; San Francisco Bay Area preferred

Salary: $250,000–$350,000 per year plus equity

hirify.global is building a search engine for the AI era, with a Search API used by agents, Fortune 500 companies, and AI labs.

What you will do

• Build hirify.global’s finance function, including internal controls, systems, processes, and audit readiness.
• Bring accounting and finance operations in-house and hire and develop the finance team.
• Own financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, scenario planning, and FP&A processes for a consumption-based API business.
• Advise leadership on pricing, unit economics, strategic deals, capital allocation, and treasury.
• Partner with GTM, Engineering, and Product on revenue strategy, infrastructure costs, and product decisions.
• Lead investor reporting, board communications, and preparation for future financing events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• 8–15 years of finance experience, including meaningful experience at a high-growth technology company.
• Strategic finance experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or a growth-stage operating role.
• Experience building a finance function at a scaling startup and leading institutional fundraising.
• Deep expertise in financial modeling and FP&A for API or consumption-based business models.
• Hands-on experience managing compute costs in infrastructure, AI, or usage-based businesses.

Nice to have

• Strong commercial instincts and experience partnering with GTM leadership on pricing, packaging, revenue strategy, and unit economics.
• Experience communicating complex financial data to founders, boards, and investors.
• Operator mentality with the ability to build from scratch and work effectively in ambiguity.
