Company

hirify.global is scaling the Atlas humanoid robot fleet for large-scale robotics research and field operations.

What you will do

  • Lead investigations into complex controls, behavioral, actuator, and system failures escalated from fleet operations.
  • Analyze robot logs and telemetry to assess electric actuator health, control stability, sensor performance, and automated health-check failures.
  • Develop Python diagnostic scripts, C++ utilities, unit tests, and improved detection logic for reproducible failure modes.
  • Maintain automated diagnostic suites that provide actionable feedback to hardware and software engineering teams.
  • Convert technical knowledge into standardized playbooks and prepare high-signal failure reports with data and hypotheses.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software specialists to verify fixes and influence future robot iterations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1–4 years of professional experience in robotics, hardware reliability, or technical support for complex electromechanical systems.
  • Experience debugging complex systems using log analytics and on-robot diagnostic tools.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python for system analysis and tool development.
  • Understanding of controls theory, electric motors, and embedded systems.
  • Ability to work onsite at the Waltham facility and interact directly with hardware in a laboratory environment.

Nice to have

  • Large-scale data analysis using SQL and Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake and Looker.
  • Experience with Bazel, Google Test, Google Cloud Platform, or Apache Airflow.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work directly with novel humanoid robotics hardware in a hands-on laboratory environment.
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits.
  • 401(k), paid time off, and an annual bonus structure.
