Senior Backend Engineer (Java)

Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina; hybrid schedule with one day onsite and four days remote per week

What you will do

• Develop, test, and maintain microservices within a global platform serving millions of connected devices and users.
• Own solutions across the full lifecycle, from development through production operation, within an agile DevOps team.
• Modernize legacy systems and develop new features across the technology stack.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and contribute to technical and professional growth within the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience in production environments.
• Strong professional experience with Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, Next.js, and MongoDB and/or MySQL.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, service development, testing, and integration patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, container technologies, and automated testing.
• Experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, modernizing, and continuously improving long-lived production applications.
• Senior-level collaboration skills, including mentoring or providing technical guidance to less experienced engineers; fluent English required.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI development tools to accelerate delivery while preserving code quality, security, and maintainability.
