Location: Hybrid in Barcelona, Madrid, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, or Montevideo

What you will do
- Translate department and product goals into scalable technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications and systems.
- Lead the architecture and design of Java-based projects, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Optimize code, database queries, and resource utilization while troubleshooting system bottlenecks and design flaws.
- Conduct scalability validation and performance testing, analyze system capacity, and prepare improvement recommendations.
- Perform code reviews and collaborate with technology leaders, product teams, and other engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or computer science.
- At least 7 years of professional Java development experience.
- Strong experience in Java application development, software architecture, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
- Experience with Spring, Hibernate, event-driven architecture, and the software development life cycle.
- Ability to solve complex software system issues and monitor production applications using telemetry and distributed logging tools.
- Upper-intermediate written and spoken English proficiency.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Experience with New Relic, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, or ELK.
