Sales Operations Analyst (CPQ)

Location: Fremont, California, USA; based in Fremont

Salary: $110,000–$120,000 annual

What you will do

• Support accurate, timely, and scalable quoting for commercial opportunities, early-stage products, unreleased products, and new business units.
• Design and maintain Excel-based quoting tools and automation workflows.
• Implement product configuration, pricing, approval, regional, and workflow logic.
• Translate requirements from Product, Engineering, Sales, Finance, IT, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Commercial Operations into scalable quoting processes.
• Support CPQ, web-based quoting, and digital configuration platforms, including Salesforce CPQ and Oracle CPQ.
• Document, test, govern, roll out, and train users on quoting tools while exploring AI-powered automation features.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience, or equivalent experience; MBA preferred.
• Experience building or supporting quoting tools for commercial, pre-commercial, unreleased, or newly integrated business-unit products.
• Strong knowledge of data cleansing, normalization, product configuration logic, pricing rules, and workflow governance.
• Ability to work with evolving product definitions, short iteration cycles, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong communication, organization, time-management, documentation, and execution skills.
• Ability to evaluate and incorporate AI tools or frameworks into data analysis and quoting workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, web-based quoting, or configuration tools.
• Exposure to SQL, ODBC, API integrations, Office 365, SharePoint, or cloud-based Excel systems.
• Background in hardware, manufacturing, renewable energy, configuration-heavy industries, or solar.
• Experience in startup environments and global public companies.
