Staff Software Engineers

Location: New York, NY; hybrid setup with an expectation of 4 days in the NYC office

Salary: $225,000–$250,000 per year, plus equity and bonus

What you will do

• Own features end to end, including the systems powering data platforms and the web application.
• Build secure, well-tested software that scales as highly distributed systems.
• Coordinate technical roadmap delivery across product and frontend engineering teams.
• Collaborate with operations, revenue teams, and users to prioritize features using feedback and analytics.
• Define product roadmaps, technical strategy, development processes, and engineering practices with leadership.
• Mentor engineers through pair programming and code reviews focused on performant, scalable engineering.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience building complex applications with modern languages such as Python and/or TypeScript.
• Demonstrated success shaping and shipping valuable features.
• Experience driving high-leverage infrastructure and process improvements.
• Sound judgment when managing technical debt and technical risk.
• Comfort using modern AI tools to accelerate development.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Previous startup experience.
• DevOps or platform/infrastructure experience, or a strong interest in these areas.
• Experience with AI prototyping tools such as v0, Lovable, or Replit.
