What you will do
- Review and analyze purchase requisitions, purchase change orders, and supplier requests for quotes.
- Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning, engineering, suppliers, and quality assurance.
- Maintain procurement business system data, bills of material, part and commodity numbers, supplier codes, quote tables, and supplier records.
- Perform cost analysis and volume planning for materials, components, equipment, and services.
- Monitor subcontract cost, schedule, and scope while negotiating quality and value.
- Develop alternative supply sources, recommend cost-saving opportunities, and resolve supplier quality issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2–4 years of professional experience.
- Experience with assigned commodities and domestic or global commodity markets.
- Experience with procurement, supply chain management systems, supplier management, and cost analysis.
- Ability to work with manufacturing, planning, engineering, management, suppliers, and quality assurance.
